What You Learn:
Understanding what AI and Generative AI are—their capabilities, limitations, and where human oversight is necessary.
Why this matters for Responsible AI Audits™:
You can't detect and mitigate AI risks if you don't grasp how LLMs generate content through statistical pattern prediction instead of factual knowledge retrieval. Most AI courses end here. They teach how to use the tools—but not how to use them responsibly.

What You Learn:
Understanding that data is the fuel of AI. When that data includes personal or sensitive information, privacy becomes a professional responsibility, not just a technical one.

Before you can audit AI outputs, you need to know what data you can safely input into public AI tools without breaching confidentiality obligations. When you mishandle data, you don't just risk regulatory fines. You also betray the trust that enables professional relationships.

Human Skills: AI Ethics Guardrail
What You Learn:
Understanding the human values that inform AI ethics. This is where you learn to ask: Is this AI system fair? Transparent? Accountable? Learn to apply systematic audit methods using ethical AI principles embodied in the UNESCO and OECD global frameworks.
Why this matters for Responsible AI Audits™:
AI Ethics provides the the human values and principles that makes systematic AI auditing necessary. But AI ethics alone is not enough because they are voluntary, subjective, and unenforceable.

Human Skills: Human Rights Guardrail
What You Learn:
Understanding how human rights set the highest standard of human accountability. They are based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) charter. They are universal across all cultures. They are objective, mandatory and enforceable under international law.
Why this matters for Responsible AI Audits™:
At this level, you will learn to assess AI's impact on fundamental rights—such as freedom from harm and dignity. You will view those AI risks to human rights, not merely as abstract issues but as professional responsibilities.
